Chemical Biology & Drug Design – special offer to all members of the American Peptide Society of $138 for print & online access for 2008.
Wiley–Blackwell is proud to announce the Second Anniversary of this emerging premier journal focusing on the multidisciplinary fields of chemical biology and drug design.
Tomi K. Sawyer, Chief Scientific Officer at Aileron Therapeutics, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Massachusetts is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Chemical Biology & Drug Design. Tomi, a Past-President of the American Peptide Society (1999-2001) and Co-Chair of the Eighteenth American Peptide Symposium (2003), is enthusiastic about the success of the journal and its support by a world class editorial team of academic, government and industrial scientists.
The first issue of the journal was published in January 2006, and it has a special historical relationship to peptide chemistry, biology, and drug design by way of it’s predecessor, the Journal of Peptide Research, which was edited by Victor Hruby.
Aims and Scope Chemical Biology & Drug Design (www.cbdd.org) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that is dedicated to the advancement of innovative science, technology and medicine with a focus on the multidisciplinary fields of chemical biology and drug design. It is the aim of Chemical Biology & Drug Design to capture significant research and drug discovery that highlights new concepts, insight and new findings within the scope of chemical biology and drug design.
Chemical Biology & Drug Design covers the following scientific topics:
- Protein, peptide, peptidomimetic, nucleic acid, lipids, carbohydrate and natural product chemical biology and drug design
- Receptor agonist/antagonist, protease substrate/inhibitor, and signal transduction modulator chemical biology and drug design
- Small-molecule diversity and synthetic methods important to investigate chemical space relationships to drug discovery
- Structure-based drug design, molecular modeling, virtual screening and related in silico chemoinformatics technologies
- NMR, X-ray crystallography, calorimetry and related biophysical technologies
- Therapeutic target proteomics, chemical genomics and molecular screening technologies
- Emerging chemical and biological concepts of significance to in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, ADMET, and drug delivery as well as related molecular technologies
- Novel proof-of-concept ligands and breakthrough medicines (CB&DD thematic issues)
